Get to know Virginia

Virginia Morgan is a seasoned professional, who works to connect with her clients, she focuses on both preparedness and responsiveness.  Virginia is a strategy-driven attorney who centers her efforts around drawing resolution-focused conclusions. Her passion for law began while attending the University of Texas where a class on Media Law and Ethics focused her on her future legal career. In 2006, she was admitted to the Florida Bar.

Virginia began her legal career practicing family and criminal law; although this is no longer her area of practice, she learned many skills that have transitioned to her current practice areas.  Virginia now practices primarily HOA, Insurance litigation, Real Estate, and Business law.

Virginia learned the importance of pro-bono work and community engagement, something she sincerely values to this day, at her first position after law school as an associate attorney at Christine & Christine, P.A. She then worked as an associate at the Law Office of Shorstein & Lee, LLC, before becoming a partner in Shorstein, Lee & Morgan, LLC. Virginia handled mostly family law matters, she trained in Collaborative Family Law and became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator (from 2013-2019). She went on to form the Law Office of Virginia S. Morgan, LLC; in opening her own practice Virginia was able to build her time management, caseload, and overall business skills. Virginia pivoted from family law in 2018, moving to the St. Johns County Clerk of Court where she served as assistant in-house counsel, primarily handling bail bond matters and public records while also managing the criminal department.

In May of 2020, Virginia came to Coquina Law Group, making the transition back to private practice. Virginia is an experienced lawyer who values community engagement and client relationships.
